Day 22-To Jasper-23 Jul

All of the photos on this blog so far are from my phone so the quality isn't great and I missed a lot of the wildlife. I haven't had time (or internet speed) to upload Ron's photos which I will replace with mine as I get a chance.

Left Golden at 8am after a hot breakfast while enjoying this view:

Then it was onto the Yoho National Park. Yoho is Cree for"awe". First stop Emerald Lake. Which looked suspiciously unreal!  Salmon jumping in the lake:

Stopped at the Natural Bridge along the same road with huge amounts of water flowing through it on the way back to the highway:

Takakkaw Falls, Canada's highest waterfall:

We saw a family of three Marmots on a rock.

We were lucky to see a goods train going through the spiral tunnels on the way back to the highway.

We stopped at Kicking Horse Pass but didn't see a train there.

Then it was onto the Icefields Parkway on the way to Jasper. First we went through Banff National Park where we stopped at Crowsfoot Glacier where we had lunch.

Bow Lake, Bow Glacier and roadworks.

Peyto Lake And Bow Summit the highest point on the Parkway. Yes this colour is real, in fact it is even more amazing in real life!

Just past this we saw a black bear near the side of the road feeding voraciously on a red berry bush. When there are cars piled up you know there is a bear in there, somewhere!

Just past this we saw a large Grizzley feeding on berries.

Stopped at North Saskatchewan River, Cirrus Mountain and Bridal Veil Falls.

Stopped at Tangle Falls. Couldn't get a photo without people as everyone was busy posing or taking selfies or contemplating the falls:

Got into Jasper St 5pm and had dinner at Kimchi House Korean Restaurant - really lovely food - and tried to find a pub with music but to no avail so we retired to our B&B - The Walls - where we stay for two nights.
