Day 10-Glacier Bay-11 Jul

About 9am as we sailed into Glacier Bay we picked up Rangers who came aboard to instruct us about the Glacier Bay National Park.

The first part of the bay had quite a few whales and sea otter but they were long way off and difficult to photograph. We were very lucky to have had our successful day in  Resurrection Bay, Seward.

We saw the glaciers and even the tops of the surrounding mountains were cloud free for most of the day. Lots of
Bald eagles and kittiwake gulls around.
We had lunch on our balcony and ate in front of Margerie Glacier. Where it calves numerous times which Ron caught on camera.

This is Ron and Paul looking for Eagles and telling each other where they had found one to practice for when they found them to photograph. I think it's a guy thing.

I take it all back! This evening we saw our first full whale breech in Alaska AND Ron caught it on camera! Photos to follow when I can.
