Lucky we did the Vintgar gorge when we did. It’s now closed due to flooding. Worst flooding in Slovenia in decades (since Independence). We are fine in Ljubljana but the river is up and roads to the north and west are closed. Luckily we are heading east later today to meet the others.

Off to see the Slovene Ethnographic Museum today.
We’ve seen a few of these bee huts but didn’t manage to get a good photo. Slovenia has always been and still is hugely into honey. Traditionally and on some of the huts today they have decorative panels instead of solid colours. The idea was to bless the bees with religious motifs and also so the bees could distinguish their bee hut. They had a few panels at the museum.
