Korcula to Vis

 Early morning start from Korcula:

Went to Stiniva a famous beach on Vis. We took the boat in but the 4 moorings were taken. One of the boats offered to let us raft up with them but it was too crowded for us. 

We slowly followed the coast to Komiza. Vis has always been a big military stronghold and was still a Yugoslavian base until 1989. It was only after 1989 that people were allowed on the island. Total population around 3,000. 

Looking all along the coast for shelters that might be used for shelters and gun placements until we found these:

The local procession for the Feast of the Assumption of Mary. I think ALL the locals turned out! They sang as they walked.
