Train to Ballano then walked to the Castle.
Then had a well deserved swim before Ron went to the shop for supplies.
Went to dinner at Ristorante il Cavatappi - fantastic gnocchi and duck ragout and warm octopus salad followed by semifreddo and chocolate raspberry volcano cake. Really superb. Taxi home.
Hotel internet has been hopeless since Geneva. Hopefully it will improve as the trip goes on.

Orrido di Bellano gorge. A massive rush of water has created a deep gorge in granite and gneiss rock. Made even more impressive by the recent rain. They use it to make power for the town.
