Annecy to Geneva via Flixbus.
Geneva to Milan via train through Lausanne, Montreux, Brig, Domodossola, Stressa and Milan. So, it was quite scenic.
Missed the cograilway up Rochers de Naye in these mountains the other day because of cloud. Looks good today.

Quite an experience once we reached Milan. I’ve been worried about this accommodation but my frugal side won out - 65euro a night in a great section of town. Gorgeous old building. Our room has 14 foot high ceiling, is huge and has a balcony and a huge communal lounge room and communal kitchen. But, the wifi doesn’t work (despite the protestations of the owner), it has a shared bathroom and no air conditioning (which wouldn’t have been so bad if it had been in a quieter area but we need the window open at night) and the mattress is lumpy. It also took a visit to the Indian restaurant across the road to help us communicate with the owner to get into the apartment! Good to remember if it looks too good to be true...
