Canada/NE - NH - Day 7

Picked up an Alamo rental car from Burlington Airport last night for a quick getaway today.

Headed to New Hampshire and Flume Gorge with pre booked tickets for 10am. They let 300 in per hour. We have been really lucky with the weather and the crowds so far. 🤞  We saw about 10 people on the whole walk with us. Unfortunately, due to the drought here there was very little water in the gorge and no need for a raincoat as there was no spray!

Glacial boulder. There are quite a few of these littering the ground.

Sentinel Pine covered Bridge. The Sentinel pine was 52m high, 5m circumference and almost 200 years old. Unfortunately the Sentinel Pine was blown over in a hurricane in 1938.

We walked (part of) the Appalachian trail! These are the mountains we’ve been seeing over the NY border from Vermont. Ronnie’s always wanted to walk (or ski) the trail.
