Our first view of the start of the Grand Canyon at Lees Ferry where people start their paddle or speed boat ride down the Canyon:

Went to a ranger talk on Condors and saw a Condor spiralling in the air above us. Even the ranger seemed excited. They are endangered and the captive breeding and release program has brought them back from 8 birds to 400 birds. There are a pair around the Bright Angel lodge who they think are rearing a chick. Theyhave a 10 foot wingspan! I have better photos but this one shows it was above the Canyon:
