Day 14 - Menorca - Ciutadella

Guided tour of Ciutadella (pronounced Suit-a-day-a) the old capital before the British reign when they moved the Capital to Mahon where the is a large harbour. Ciutadella is still the religious capital.  9 km today.

El Toro, Menorca’s highest mountain at 375m has been a spiritual and pilgrimage centre since 13 century. has a monument to Menorcans who died in battle with Jesus on top. Toro - highest mountain - 357m - a place of spiritual and pilgrimage centre since 13 C.  At the top of the monument is a "Jesus of the Sacred Heart" statue arms outstretched, blessing Menorcan's who died in the Spanish wars.

Fontenells (pronounced font-en-yes) - a fishing village popular for water sports, diving and yachting. 
The only beach at Fontenells - small and rocky - which has been extended with a concrete pier.
