Discovered on little problem with handing over navigation duties to Ronnie. He can’t see to read maps without his specs - which he never carries - so we end up in odd places! What an adventure, but we made it to the station, bought and validated our tickets and caught the right train.

We were happy to have lunch here while we waited for the taxi.
The manager of the apartments sent a taxi to meet us at Varenna Train Station and deliver us to Rossini Apartments and we are very happy she did. It is about a 5 minute drive with a very experienced Italian driver in a stealth black Mercedes Van.

Then took a walk to the closest "supermarket". It is about 800 m by road but we found the special hidden path which cut that down considerably despite the rain. The store is more of a mini market but they have free delivery to your door if you stay in these apartments so we were very happy.Cooked risotto for dinner.
