Boat across Brienzsee to Giessbach hotel which is right next to the Geissbach falls. We took the funicular up to the hotel, had an ice cream At the hotel and walked down a winding path to catch a steam driven paddle boat back to Brienz.

We were thinking of going to some of the other restaurant in Wengen but this morning at breakfast they brought around the menu for dinner tonight - salad, soup, roast duck breast, vegetables and risotto and profiteroles. How can we pass that up? Also the guys that run this hotel are so passionate about it and so nice that we feel we should support them. Not a hardship when the food is absolutely fabulous and 1/2 the price of anywhere else, no wonder all the guests have been eating in.
