We left Jasper at 8:30 just outside of town there was a herd of Elk:
Then went along the 93A highway and took Edith Cavill Drive where we saw a grizzley:
Then stopped at Edith Cavill Mountain, Edith Cavill Pond (with it's own glacier):
and Edith Cavill Lake. Where we saw two squirrels playing and then one stealing nuts from someone else's winter stash!
Edith wasn't a hiker but she was a WWII nurse who someone admired!
Athabasca Falls were amazingly powerful. I don't think the pictures will do it justice. It's a very dangerous set of falls.
Came out to join The Icefields Parkway and saw Mountain Goats enjoying a goat lick. This is a very rare sighting as they usually stay safe from bears and cougar at very high altitudes in the mountains:
Had dinner at Korusos steak & Seafood in Jasper.
