Wifi reception (no phone reception) at breakfast which is the last for 2 days until we get back to Picton.
Auckland extreme weather is not extending this far but we are having some rain. Might be clear today. Might be raining tomorrow. Weather changes by the hour and the forecast is variable for different areas even though they are extremely close.
Felt the level 6 earthquake which was 57km below ground 1/2 way between here and Wellington in the Cook strait. It lasted long enough for all of us to recognise what it was, which felt like a very long time. It felt like a large car ferry reversing its engine as it backed up to the deck we were sitting in on the edge of the water but there was no ferry in sight!
