On the way we saw Mt Etna erupting, as usual.
We had great plans to visit swimming holes along the way but due to the unseasonable 32° we didn't feel like the walk they entailed so we drove straight to Syracuse - Ortigia.
We love the island! Very few people and lots of little restaurants and classic building. Wonderful.

Discovered arancini! Yum. Take away dinner from Taverna Giudecca Ortigia about 10 steps from our door followed by ice cream for dessert.
